Optional Two-way Text and Voice Communication
Argo Navigation has developed an "Optional Two-way Text and Voice communication" product to enhance communication between the mobile unit and the Location-Based Services (LBS) application running on a server or client PC.
Although a data channel is used to send data back and forth, our FMS maximizes the voice channel capability of the communication device. When there is an emergency, the user can press the "panic" switch. This will trigger the voice channel and allow the Call Center to listen to what is going on.
The dispatch center or the driver can initiate 2 way voice conversation as needed, without the need to purchase additional wireless phones.
